Noah's Story
I have been putting this off, but now since I am going to the reunion it's time.
A year after graduating from Reagan, I married Rolland Ocanas. We moved after three months of marriage to a small town call Bellville. There Rolland worked for Exxon and I became a homemaker and mommy. We had two beautiful girls, Courtney and Shelby. Rolland was killed in October 1981 on a motorcycle. I lost my best friend and my girls lost their daddy.
I remarried and had a son, Gary. During this time in my life I was running taking my kids to their functions. My girls were blessed having Rolland athletic skills. They played for Belleville HS volleyball team and won state titles total of 6 times. After 15 years of marriage it ended.
I swore off men for a long time and then I met my love. It was at a state volleyball match. Long story to type, but anyway after three years we got married and have been for 13 years. We bought my parents house in San Felipe (near Sealy) and built my mother a apartment behind our home. My dad had passed away. This pass September my mother passed away. years of taking care and loving my mother we have found a new chapter in our life and it has been awesome.
Terry and I have a total of 4 children. Courtney is 36 and married. She is a personal trainer and manager at lifetime fitness in Sugarland. Shelby is 34, married with two precious children. A girl, Emerson 3 and a boy, Jake 1. She works part time at TI in Sugarland. Roger (Terry's son) is 34, married with also two precious children. A girl, Brooklynn 6 and a son Jackson 3. Roger is in the army and left August 22 for Afghanistan for 9 months. Last is Gary 27 and engaged. He works at UTMC downtown Houston. I feel my biggest accomplishments are my children, all went to college and all have degrees. Also all of the kids, but Roger live in Katy. Twenty minutes from us. Yeah!
I love being a wife, mother and especially a grandmother. Yes, I am 58, over weight, but I love life and live it to the fullest. So, now I hope I haven't put you all to sleep, but this is my life so far minus telling about my illness. I just feel Blessed everyday and I hope I bless someone each day, too.
